Hi everyone, I have a genuine set of BMW Wheel and Winter tyres for sale. They were purchased in November 2012 and fitted to an E89 Sdrive 35is, which I have now sold. The tyres covered approximately 1500 miles and are in excellent condition. The package cost me £1600 new, but is up for...

19 Inch Continental Sport Contact 5P For Sale REVISED PRICE

Guys, As per the subject, I have a full set of the above in E89 19 inch sizes that have done little over 500 miles. They were bought to diagnose whether the tyres were at fault with a handling issue with my car, but it turns out that the tyres were fine, so I don't need these anymore. They...

Twitchy steering 35is - Update now FIXED!

That does seem to be their conclusion, but I know many others use standard tires. I don't know how the car drove after the rack was changed on the Continentals, but they certainly weren't happy with it, and according to them the car only handled right after the rack was chamged on the tires it...

Twitchy steering 35is - Update now FIXED!

Well it's been nearly 3 months but I am happy to report my car is supposedly fixed  Got a call from the dealer yesterday, and they finally concluded it was the steering rack. They were initially stumped after changing the rack and finding the car was still not running right. On...

Twitchy steering 35is - Update now FIXED!

Quick update - new steering rack and yet another KDS and no change :( BMW are now sending a proverbial 'man in white coat' to come and help as my dealer is stumped. I have given the dealer I bought the car from two weeks to work with my local dealer to fix the problem otherwise I am...

    Tyre help...

When I had mine in at Birds to try and diagnose my handling fault, I was told that that it is quite common for many of the newer BMWs on run flats to get inner tyre wear. Said it tended to always be a bit more pronounced if the car was on RFTs rather than standard tyres. Not sure if that is...

Would you swap yours for a Z4M ?

I read this post with interest as I recently swapped my E86 M coupe for an E89 35is. I loved my M when I was in the mood, you just couldn't beat the sound, handling, power, looks and rawness - it was intoxicating. The trouble is, the opportunities to experience that, particularly living in...

Twitchy steering 35is - Update now FIXED!

Thanks for the insight. Hopefully I'll get an update tomorrow as its been in for another week. Last I heard they were replacing trailing arm bushes but I think that was less of a diagnosis and more about elimination. They warned me it was going to take some time. Hope to post an update tomorrow!

Twitchy steering 35is - Update now FIXED!

So far nothing. I figured if BMW tried to tell me that the problem was somehow because of the tyres I would have them ready for them to test to prove otherwise. Also if they don't get the car fixed, I will return it to the original dealer with the original tyres and sell the Continentals...

Twitchy steering 35is - Update now FIXED!

Must admit although my car isn't handling right, and I have only had a short time with my car, I do resonate with this. Having come from an M car without RFTs I was a bit predisposed to thinking the tyres could be a problem when I bought the car. This despite the fact that my old M coupe used...
