If you have an Android phone or tablet, you can install BimmerGeeks ProTool. It can open the boot easily. Also, if you search the forum, there is a pin shorting trick you can do in the electrical panel behind the glove box.

I'm happy with the adaptives. Not perfect, but a good compromise.

Well, I bought the Alfa 4C. Absolutely love it, but it would be a sin to use it as a daily. So I'm keeping the Z4. La Vita e Bella!

Relatively simple repair. Here is my tutorial.

Keep an eye on it. In my case the oil was coming up thru the connector, not leaking into the connector externally. Broken internal seal. Repair requires pulling the valve cover.

First of all, my oil filter assembly also has the cooler module. Some tutorials suggest sucking out about a litre of coolant from the expansion, tank prior to disassembly. Is this really necessary?

I've had a similiar issue and it turned out to be the eccentric valve sensor. Don't know for sure if it was the actual sensor or the oil saturated connector.
