Thanks for your reply,the fault started with only the headlights not working when switched on,only the side lights worked,if however I removed the large 40 amp fuse and replaced it immediately the headlights would work,also the instrument cluster will sometimes remain on even with the lights...

Hi all,new member here,I've recently bought a 2005 z4 with a little 4 pot,love the car but I've a few questions to ask please, has anybody heard about the headlight control unit causing elec faults??
