I test drove many mx5s thinking I would get one and then landed up buying a MC. Once you've driven it I think you will make you mind up pretty quick. Mx5 is great for what it is - lighter, agility, spare parts cost, but at my stage (middle age creaky back) the zed wins hands down.

I had OEM CSLs on my MC. PS4 rubber lowered on B12s I think and they just about made it within the arch liner. Just ! No spacers. Either way, 19s are a harsher ride. 235/35/19 et44 8.5j 265/30/19 et27 9.5j

I am also looking at the 2.5" for ease of routing - in hindsight, would you have gone with the 3" or is the 2.5" already tricky enough for clearances of pipe routing? Sounds like you're happy with the 2.5"?
