    Good Motoring Breakfast Cafes ?

Plus one for The Ponderosa - a regular haunt of mine until recently. The local Police are quite, ummm, enthusiastic though!

If you had the balls - the most BONKERS swap for the Z4 for 1 year only

    Ducati Desmodecici or Honda RC30/RC45...

    Officially run in, but....

Follow the handbook. Drive (within reason) how you wish after that. My personal rules are don't cane an engine from cold, and (try to) avoid short journeys....

It's time to swap ... :( feeling sad.

Keep the Z4, £300 buys you a Nissan Almeria to use. You'd save the outlay in fuel and you'll get £120 when you scrap it.

    Run Flat Tyre - repairable?

So from what I've read - Run flat tyres are noisier and give a harsher ride than normal. Their levels of grip is lower, while the price is higher. Unless you're fortunate enough to be within a stones throw of a tyre fitter (who probably won't want to repair them anyhow) if they puncture...

    Run Flat Tyre - repairable?

One (mobile) fitter / repairer wouldn't do it, stating categorically run flats can't be repaired. I suspect he was hoping I'd just take his word for it and invite him round to replace it. Another tyre fitting shop happily did it, mentioning nothing about any damage. It looks as if I got away...

    Run Flat Tyre - repairable?

So the above leads me (reluctantly, sadly!) down the thought that I could be shelling out for another tyre. I'll see what the tyre shop says, but hope for the best, prepare for the worst...

    Run Flat Tyre - repairable?

So ideally then I'd leave the car on the drive and take the loose wheel 3 miles to the tyre shop?

    Run Flat Tyre - repairable?

Thanks. I'll sort it tomorrow then. It's just stopped me going out this evening for a couple of hours then. Oh well, to the pub instead!

    Run Flat Tyre - repairable?

Hi, My rear tyre (Bridgestone Potenza 255-35-18) has a screw in, and so is going down. The screw is about 2" into the treaded part (eg away from the sidewall). I've had to do 6 miles or so since the alarm went off, all at 30 mph or less. Obviously I'd prefer to get the tyre repaired if possible...

    One month!

If I could post I would, but it seems a monster faff to use photo bucket or the like, and my car is totally standard. Yes, I've pictures of it here there and everywhere but the actual car is exactly as you'd picture. As you guess, I'd rather be driving, riding my bikes or spotting trains than...

    One month!

If there's one I can get to I may toddle along. I'll be relocating to Argyll and Bute in the near future, so I'll keep an eye out there!

    One month!

Hi, I'm in Barrow-in -Furness at present. I enjoyed my trip over Kendal, Brough and to Scotch Corner. It's a shame my face caught the sun at Croft, it's currently uncomfortably rather warm. Didn't stop me having the hat down for most of the journey though... I've not been too fussed over...

Oh dear.... Incidentally, I'm curious what you mean when you say I'm a month late in reporting!

    One month!

So I've had my Z4 for a month (and a day!) now. I got it with 12k on the clock, I've added another two. About half of these were achieved on a few days in Northern France and Belgium, the rest on the A roads of Cumbria. I must say I'm enjoying every mile - I just wish I'd got it earlier! I'm...
