Does it get better after warm up? Because on mine, it is great when warmed up but really hard to put it in first when cold. Try 2nd gear than 1st, sometimes it works.

Love the sepang bronze, and it always looked like another spectrum of sterling gray to me. Because when sun hits sterling gray car, from some angles it looks like bronze, and vice versa

Probably due to my body, and restoring original seats with new foam and re-paint, but I find normal/comfort seats really tight now. I don't know how I would fit in original sport seats (183cm, wider shoulders, skinny)... And E46 seats don't fit properly in a Z4, for me. They are beautiful seats...

You can easily check if that is the correct part by searching for a part number on google. Part number I have found and checked: 51477030765 -> same one as you have found

I honestly don't drive top down in my E85 when it is 30 degrees. I use it more in winter/spring/autumn than in the summer. Only mornings and nights for me in the summer, unless it is cloudy. We get enough sun in Serbia so no need to chase it when it is uncomfortable :D And for the E86...

I have bought Varta, it was the only one in stock for that size when I was buying it in 2023. No problem 3 years later, seems fine

Not usually fan of these mods, but this actually looks great! Did you design the 3d print file or have you found it somewhere? Are steering wheel commands working with the unit?

Don't know, maybe try with weighted M sport knob. But go for original one, there are copies everywhere. Makes shifting more direct, but still, you have to wait for next gear. I don't feel that my 5 speed on 2.2 is the one that should be rushed like on fast and furious movie.
