Latch completely removed! No problem with roof lift even at high speeds! No squeaking anymore! I would call it a success! :driving:

Ok, so I have read here that on facelift models (or some anyway) BMW removed the latch/lock which engages when the roof is fully open. This latch is known to create squeaks etc so I went ahead and removed the motor part out of the way. Now the roof just opens and sits on top of the metal part...

B12 are Bilstein B8 paired with Eibach springs right? How are you liking the whole setup? I have heard that it is quite a harsh ride.

Does anyone have any experience from ST Suspension and specifically their ST X line? From searches I have found that ST is owned by KW and are their more affordable coilover line. They are identical in technology and construction to KW Variant 1 with the only different being galvanised vs inox...

Thanks for the info. I put ferodo Premier on and they squeak when the warm up. Sounds like things have not yet settled with the brakes/rotors.

How many km do they need to bed in? I have done about 2000km

The new rotors were coated when new. Is it possible that the coating has not completely been removed and has a runout? It has been 2000-3000km since though.

But my discs are new. Is it possible that new discs can have this problem?

Just remembered I had one of them changed a few months ago. :/ Maybe the other one needs replacing also. Or do they go in pairs? Not sure.
