    Z4MR replaced By a Caterham Superlight R400

You, with the laugh out loud, screaming banshee that is the Z4M and you say the Caterham is a bit raw? 🤣

New to Z4 coupe ownership, have a few questions on audio options.

Welcome Sam, and an excellent choice of Z4 😊. The residents love pictures, especially of unusually spec'd cars. This thread, I am sure has some information on audio upgrades, along with just about everything else on an E86 😉...

Searching for Owner of Vehicle DR06 ZED LD39870

Come on guys, there is nothing wrong, or particularly weird - certainly by our collective standards - in wanting to try and find out who has the only other car in that exact specification. Ryan, good luck in your search sir :)

What have you done to your E89 today

Flimsy? Remember, you are talking about securing a badge, not the entire bonnet! ;) And you a Rams/Jaguars fan? If so - oh dear.... (said as a Vikings fan so I know only disappointment) 😋

    Oil price difference

A good tool kit will be a wise investment. Believe it or not, Halfords Professional kits are rather good. I have had their 150 or so piece kit for something like 15 years and it is still going strong. Frequently on sale also.

    Oil price difference

You really want an 86mm 16 flute cap to sort the housing. It spreads the load better than applying it all through the top "nut". They are usually around £10 - £12 on Amazon.

Hi Everyone from (not so sunny) Plymouth UK

Welcome and good to hear you are enjoying the Z4 experience 😊 As you will now be aware, there is quite an active group of fellow enthusiasts in your part of the world. 😊

    Oil price difference

In my experience that is ECP doing their markup before they give you the "discount". It will be exactly the same oil, just different retail practices.

    Rear suspension knock - UPDATE

May be a daft couple of suggestions. Dust covers or simply you have a faulty damper?

    Mini Cooper SE

Rather than spending money on alterations, which you won't get back come sale time, why not just sell it and buy one you really want? Oh and I like the metallic blue one 😊

    E89 to E86?

The 35i or 35is are generally cheaper (at the same age) than the 30i. It is, as others have said, due to the desirability of the N52 engine compared to the N54. Oh and there appear to be more of the N54 powered ones available than the 30i. That said, the 35i, even in standard tune, is...

    E89 to E86?

Because all convertibles I have driven still have the same problem of feeling compromised with the roof down. Or to use the wife's parlance, why do all convertibles rattle (granted she is pedantic and it is vastly improved with the suspension done)? Oh and for context, mine is a 2011 30i manual...

    E89 to E86?

This is something I am contemplating for a few reasons and I would appreciate the input of others. Before I bought the E89 last year, I took the wife to Cramag (local BMW specialist) to get her input on an E89 - and because without that approval my life would not be a happy one :) Now she sat...

    New to site

Welcome 🙂 There would be a few who would say differently on the E86 M, but a regular 3.0si will be kinder to your wallet! Plenty of expertise here and from people far more knowledgeable on them than me. I would just say, buy based on provenance, not mileage or age.

    Newbie advice

Now this is just my opinion, but that is damn expensive for an early 23i with 7 owners and a list of items worthy of questions. I paid notably less last October for a 2011 30i MSport manual with 2 previous owners and full history. I could swear I discounted that one when I was looking too. 🤔...
