That was my first guess with starting issues. So will order one online. I don't have a code reader but the garage I use do so going to try and get it in there tomorrow to get it checked and see what comes up. I am hoping it's just the starter switch and looses connection somewhere causing havoc.

I did ask the H&S about that, but they said they had a check of all the fuses so the issue was something more internal, possibly broken amp as I know water ingress there has been a problem, but they suggested BMW would be best placed to do a diagnosis of that.
