Oil filter housing seal leaks are extremely common with some BMW engines--deteriorates after several years. I've been told I need to have mine replaced. Seems to go through 1 liter every 5000 miles or so, not a big deal yet, so I've put it off.

My Z4 was found about a mile from my home. Obviously a young kid joyriding scenario. Virtually no damage, but my car cover and OEM key were taken. I have invested in a Viper antitheft system, so hopefully I can continue roadstering for a long time without fear of thieves. :driving:

I removed part of VIN number as you suggested. Not sure why anyone would want to clone the VIN of a stolen vehicle though, wouldn't have any impact on me since I no longer have car in my possession...
