    Carraero N52 'CentroPlenum'

the design was for the 1 and 3 series which have a different layout apparently. More work to do on it I reckon but suspect it’s a volume call for them to do a z4 specific version. Let’s see. There is always a way!

    Carraero N52 'CentroPlenum'

So there is a load of wiring for the various sensors around the airbox plus other wiring that comes out of the main electrical box top right of the engine bay, and then flows down underneath the current intake system. It goes into a plastic junction box underneath the air intake system and the...

    Carraero N52 'CentroPlenum'

I also have one on order. Hoping for delivery soon! Need to come up with a solution to hold the loom box that currently is bolted onto the underside of the stock intake, otherwise it will flop around s and pull on the electrical connections. I’ve had a 3D printed version sent though though and I...

    New battery for E86 ?

I picked this battery up from Halfords after reading about someone else doing the same. Bigger than the 096 battery I had in before and has a bit more oomph. Car starts like a dream now and importantly, the battery fits properly! I can now get rid of the wooden spacer I’d had to put it...

Anyone used ST XA coilovers e86 3.0si?

NVH maybe slightly more but very marginal tbf. All bushings were replaced when I changed the dampers with OEM bushes. Other than putting ball joints top and bottom on the rear hub carrier. Front control arm bushes are standard. If you poly bushed it then may be harder or more noticeable

Anyone used ST XA coilovers e86 3.0si?

I’ve got XTA coils. So adjustable front top mounts as well as the one way adjustable coilovers. They’re linear spring rate and camber + castor adjustable at the front. I’m running only a bit below sport suspension height to keep good ground clearance for B roads. Is about perfect height I think...

N52 Hydraulic steering pump and purple tag rack

Hi mate. Interested. Can you confirm where the rack came from (mileage of car?) or if it’s refurbed? Also which car did the pipe work come from? I’ve got most of the other bits just hadn’t got round to this bit yet!!!

Meds 3.0si Coupe - Rear brake upgrade in progress.

That looks spot on mate! Really pleased they work. Like the 245 and think that could work as a square set up. Per our chat, that’s my next plan!!! Look forward to seeing them on Ferric grey

Z4 coupe road and track build - upgrades advice

Take a look at ST XTAs. Basically KW V2s without the inox coating, but they come with club sport fully adjustable solid topmounts and linear (rather than progressive) springs. I have set up with lots more castor (7 degrees vs 5 and a bit standard) and just under 2 degrees of camber. Behaves much...

Stock or M castor for an Si

I’ve not got offset bushes but I’ve got ST XTA coilovers which have castor adjustable top mounts. I am now running c7 degrees of castor vs stock of just over 5. It makes a positive difference to the steering in my opinion - principally it increases the weight off centre, but also quite...
