Is drivers seat supposed to be adjustable during driving?

Ha, yeah. If I had known that it was going to be £450, I'd have definitely stayed at home. At the point where the final costs were clear I would have been liable for a good chunk of it, job done or not basically, as they spent quite a lot of time investigating. Bit annoying to hear about the...

Is drivers seat supposed to be adjustable during driving?

I just thought I'd come back and update this. Took the car to a BMW specialist garage near me. The tested a variety of issues to see what was causing the problem. In the end they were able to confirm it was the switch. A replacement switch from BMW was about £160 and the part wasn't...

Is drivers seat supposed to be adjustable during driving?

The mystery continues then! Although good to know that they should one day work at my convenience rather than theirs. If I or the nice chap over at ETA motorsport manage to get to the bottom of it, I'll do my best to share the learning!

Is drivers seat supposed to be adjustable during driving?

So, I took my car in for an inspection II today, and one minor issue that I've been having with it is that I can't adjust the seats (sports heated memory seats) when driving the car. They can be adjusted immediately on start up (very briefly), or as the chap who did the inspection discovered...

Does anyone know what this is?

So I was in the middle of fitting an aux cable using a kit I grabbed from EBay, and noticed that I seem to have a different type of coin tray/storage space. It looks like it's been previously modified, but I can't work out for what purpose, or see anything similar online. It has a little cone...

    New Owner - 3.0 E85

Ah thanks! The previous owner mentioned he grabbed them off ebay (and one of my first discovery was that the little bmw alloy caps were fake, loose and basically rubbish), so was wondering where they were from. That instills a little more faith! :)

    New Owner - 3.0 E85

Thanks folks! Appreciate the welcome! :) Loving the comparative luxury, relative silence at motorway speeds and straight-line power after the 5, and also a big fan of the growl and subtle occasional 'crackling' sounds from the exhaust at low speeds (mostly at gear change with sport mode on, I...

    New Owner - 3.0 E85

Hi! I've been lurking about and window shopping for Z's for a long time, having previously had NA and NB MX-5's. Finally picked up a 3.0 litre 2004 with fairly low miles a couple of weekends ago, so just thought I'd pop by to introduce myself, and also belatedly say thanks for all the...
