Helper springs don't affect the ride; they should be coil-bound when the weight of the car is on them. They just make sure the spring doesn't rattle around or come loose on full droop

70mph is 3000rpm in my 3.0si with a 3.73 FD 70mph with stock 3.46 FD is 2800rpm
