Any BMW spec 5w40 will be your best bet. Just change it every 5000 miles/2 track days. I track my car and use the cheapest major-brand 5W-40 oil I can find. Usually Total or Petronas. It's about £25-£30 a change and does me just fine.

New seat fitted, makes a hell of difference. Just chucking through some roundabouts feels a million times better. Sacrificing a little comfort but will be worth it on track. I’m sure I said I wouldn’t turn this into an uncomfortable track car when I bought it :rofl:

I've tracked with EPS and just moved to an electric hydraulic setup using an E46 purple tag rack. Only done one wet rack day in it, but it's night and day different; even just driving it on the road it is significantly better

Best way I found for an intake on the N52 is to use a fully enclosed RamAir cone filter setup. It fits perfectly up to the inlet from the bumper, keeps IAT’s low and increased performance.
