    Love this community lol, someone somewhere always seems to have what you need whether it's random parts, info, help etc. As a new dad, would love to get this retrofit done and submit a write up so others can benefit too with their children - haven't found much info out there

    Trying to retrofit airbag deactivation to my 2003 E85 but having a hard time installing the airbag off light in the centre trim - messed up trim trying to cut the hole, why is the aluminium trim an inch thick!! Looking for replacement trim, ideally with the cutouts for both buttons but may...

    Thanks all - going by what they sell for, going to leave it for now and just live with the crack. Don’t think it’s in a really noticeable location anyway, down the hazards/handbrake area. Lesson learnt, I cracked it as I removed it from the aluminium trim as part of the airbag deactivation work...

    Rear console removal + passenger airbag deactivation retrofit

    Edited image to try and highlight angle of hinge cutouts, to give you an idea of where to pull. Or just use the idea by @BumpyZ4 !
