Which sits lower, electric bases or manual bases?

Good to know. I did always think the electric seats in my e85 sat nice and low. Certainly I didn't feel the need to go any lower, unlike the manual seats in my nb mx5 or the electric seats in my 986 boxster.

    Fifth Gear Z4 vs 350Z

Japanese engines are generally reliable, but Japanese cars love to rust. The 350z seems to be quite engine dependent. I had an early one and never had any mechanical problems in the 4 years I had it, loved that car. Only got rid because it was a daily driver at the time, and 27mpg with super...

    Fifth Gear Z4 vs 350Z

I would love to try a 370z at some point. Decent slug of power from an even bigger naturally aspirated engine... two slight problems, its a bit portly for use on track, and they're all in the highest tax band.

    Fifth Gear Z4 vs 350Z

Its not difficult, the only numbers you need to concern yourself with are 996, 997 and 991. Anything older or newer than that is unobtanium and irrelevant. 986 is the boxster equivalent of the 996. 987/987c is the boxster/cayman equivalent of the 997. 981 is the boxster equivalent of a 991. .1...

    Fifth Gear Z4 vs 350Z

I had a 300zx twin turbo, then a 350z, then a z4. The 300zx was a complicated tech fest of a car - very complicated plumbing under the bonnet being twin turbocharged and twin intercooled. Mine eventually grenaded itself and put a rod through the block. The 350z that followed was lovely. Big...

What would your next car be?

Better engine note, and a touch faster. Better steering and brakes. Worse interior, worse driving ergonomics. Arguably worse looks too. The 987 fixes all the foibles of the 986 though, very accomplished sports car.

What would your next car be?

I went from an e85 to a 986 boxster S, though a 987 boxster would be in budget too. I've also had a 350z, which was more of a sports GT but still a good car.

F1 - Some great racing yesterday

Just watch the race highlights on YouTube. 45mins or so and you'll be up to speed on the whole season so far. But yeah, was a great race! Great to see a decent battle out front, shame it got curtailed.

Rear trailing arm bushes. Had them go on my z4 on the way back from a trackday and trust me, you'd know about it. All control of rear toe angle just went, car felt like it was running on casters.

Well done Arsenal. Now that's over and in the past let's talk about Manchester United

Just testing... s**t Shitting f**k Fucking c**t Ah ok so there are some ways round the swear filters it seems! Oh also to keep this relevant, I was a Man United supporter for a while because my best friend in school was. But nowadays I only really watch international (mens) football, if i...

    19" Alloys Runflat question

How long will it take you to wear out the current tyres? And are your new wheels completely crack free, currently? And what is more expensive, new wheels or new tyres? As for crack resistance, its all a sliding scale. Non run flats will be slightly less prone to cracking rims, but theres only...

Successful alignment? Could they get all the bolts free?

Probably because every bolt is seized into the bushing, or the head shears off when you try and undo it. Had three alignments on various cars, every time at least one bolt shears.

    What’s it worth?

Id say you might get £2500 for it. I would say gold wheels are a bit marmite... if you did advertise it, you might get more clicks with silver wheels for a more unmodified look. If someone was in the market for a cheap track car this could be a great buy.
