Sava Intensa UHP - any first-hand experience ?

Have you tried kumhos? Performance to rival the big names, but at a far lower price point. I used to be a GY man but now kumhos are my go to tyre.

    Here's a mystery

Doesn't take a lot of oil to make a mess under a car. Perhaps the gearbox oil was overfilled and that leaked out a bit. Or they made a mess when they changed the oil. Anywho, as long as theres oil in the gearbox, no more advisory, no problem.

    Rear fitment issues

There's not really a lot you can do to make them fit better. The only thing that might work is adding loads of negative camber, but then the car will drive terribly. Id suggest swapping them for a less aggressive fitment.

    Alloy advice needed!

Hope it works out for you, though I fear that 19s with run flat tyres will be cracking again in the near future...

Blue stuff vs Yellow stuff? Brake Fluid?

Any standard disc is fine. EBC bluestuff pads. Any high temp brake fluid is fine, castrol srf or motul rbf660.

    MX-5 to Z4

Thats fair. Yeah boxsters arent particularly playful, they're very planted and capable, but some say that makes them boring. Whereas an mx5 can be chucked about with ease, more entertaining. A z4 is a good little car for sure... perhaps not as playful/fun as an mx5, but, try one, see what you...

    MX-5 to Z4

Interesting you had a 986 boxster... what were your thoughts on that? I went from a z4 to a 986, and I did prefer the 986, though mine was an S with the 3.2, 6 speed box and bigger brakes. More power, lovely noise and back to hydraulic steering puts the porsche ahead of the bmw for me. And a...

    MX-5 to Z4

I also had an nb mx5 before my z4 3.0i. You'll be glad to hear the z4 still feels very much like a small car, but with nearly twice the power, which is great. Early mx5s were not fast. Creature comforts of a z4 are good, a/c, cruise control and comfy seats make long journeys easy. Oh and an...

    Track Day Recommendations & Help

I did 12 trackdays with the EPS - never bothered me enough to consider changing to hydraulic. Indeed the only mods I did were brake pads (used standard discs) and tyres. Great cars, nice and nimble on track. If you're absolutely set on spending money then go ahead, but theres really no need...

FREE E85 2.5i with 220K miles too much of a risk?

Oil in the engine and not under it is a very good sign. Take a jump pack, get it fired up. If it starts and idles its good, even without any service history.

FREE E85 2.5i with 220K miles too much of a risk?

Its a free car! Suspension, anti roll bar, springs all easily replaceable. Great learning for a home mechanic. Brake lines might be a little harder, id get a garage to do that. And then yeah, give it a service, new battery and fire it up. Have some fun for a while, then if it fails, get WBAC...
