    E46 M3 seats

There is some fabrication as the seat rails are narrower, but I'm led to believe these adaptors would work too. Seat brackets Amazon The main hassle for me seems to be to get the electrics working, with the need to keep the bus connection 'alive'.

    E46 M3 seats

I'm already at the lowest in the normal/old/SE seats, so can't go any lower!

    E46 M3 seats

Unfortunately not, the base and seat pan are identical between E46 and E85. The difference is all in the shape and thickness of the cushion itself. So with the seats set at identical height, the E46 cushions will put you higher. I have both of them lying around, and just measured roughly (as the...

What have you done to your car today?

Very easy, it was a bit of fiddling around the first time, but I think you could change oil in about 15 min if you have done it once or twice. Main hiccup for me was when you stick the tube down the dipstick and hit the bottom of the oil pan, lift it a few mm otherwise it won't suck any oil out...

Damo's E86 for road and track - New upgrades incoming!

Very curious to learn more about this. My '03 Z4 has a very light sticky steering on the really hot summer days (we're talking the 30c days) and when parked outside. Although I've noticed just sticking one of those sun shades / reflectors behind the windscreen seems to prevent it. But anyways...

    E46 M3 seats

I'd say with E46 sport seats, the main priority would be to get heated ones as the heating mats are integrated into the leather covers, so probably very hard to add later. Manual to electric (or reverse) seat conversions are pretty simple, just swapping the backrest and seat bottom on to the...

What have you done to your car today?

Oil change through the dipstick and a fluid extractor I had lying around. Got close to 6 ltr out of it and level was low, so probably most of it. Think by parking the car at the right angle you might able to get some more out. But easy way for a quick change on a public parking area in center...

    Pro Clip install

It is a great mount. I use a Belkin Magsafe charger, which I modified by cutting the rear ball-type holder off so you get a flat rear side. That I just double taped to the proclip. I ran a power behind the dash off a switched fuse, using an usb-c charging port.

What have you done to your car today?

Installed my first 'Frankenseat' last weekend. E85 seatbacks with the 'side bolster mod' for more lateral support. E46 sport seat bottom. Combination of cheapo cloth E46 sport seats for the cushion and pan, and leather heated covers from E46 convertible sport seats. OEM BMW lumbar support as...

    Power-fold mirrors - pre-wired on February 2004 E85?

Rear view mirror was just a quick swap on my '03 E85 car. No coding/wiring needed. Just be aware that the remote lock/alarm receiver is in the mirror, so be sure that a) you get a mirror with the receiver, not the similar shaped 1-series one. b) the receiver has the right frequency (in my case...

What have you done to your car today?

Mine had the same (on the right hand side). Don't know if it was like that when I bought it or not. Can't seem to 'click' it in again. No biggie, so just leaving it. Don't think the jacking point is connected to the sill trim piece so can't imagine that jacking it up can do anything.

What have you done to your car today?

They are indeed the same (and for E83, E53 and more I believe). I think in the UK the L322 ones are priced cheaper, whereas on the continent the BMW ones are better priced. I paid 100 eur for the full set for two seats; bags, pumps, hoses, cables, switches. Just be aware that the 12v feed plug...

What have you done to your car today?

Nice idea for lumbar support. Also one of my pet peeves of the E85 seats. I've bought a set of OEM E46 lumbar supports and am in the process of installing them.

Where should I store hard top?

Living in the center of a larger city (Amsterdam), I have the same issue... I strore it at my parents garage for the summer, although there I need to figure out a system I can hoist it to the attic area so it is more out of the way.

Anyone used ST XA coilovers e86 3.0si?

Today I’ve been fiddling around how to access the top of the ST XA dampers to adjust them. The fronts are easily reached in the engine bay of course. The rears are basically hidden under two pieces of plastic. On top part of the water collection and drain area of the roof. Underneath that the...
