Indy had a look. Looks like a leak from the Input shaft diff seal. Cleaned it all and topped it up for now, didn't need much.

Sitting on a motorway in a z4m is a waste of a z4m. Nothing to man up about, it's just absolutely pointless commuting in one for me. By the time it was warm I'd be at work and would have driven on A roads and motorways. Zero point in doing that.

245/40 is a great tip Mr Wilks, they're cheaper than the fronts on average! Eagle Asymmetric 5 for about £100 a corner, can't complain at that. I wonder why 255 has such a massive jump in price :? On the contact patch question, how does the rim width and profile combo affect the contact...

So just noticed the front tyres on the zed are from 2007! :o Look remarkably good with no cracks, but still, they need changing so new tyre plans have been fast forwarded. So looking around, 225/40 and 255/35 R18 tyres are significantly cheaper than OEM sizes, and there is also a lot more...

I'm scared of respraying the front of mine which looks a bit of a mess because then I'll know the first swirl or stone chip will piss me off :lol: PPF sorts all that though, just so expensive!

Exactly why I bought a high miler which need a bit of tlc on the front end. I don't worry about driving it! I remember a friend selling his old 993 911 for a modern 997 GTS. Said he felt like he was curating a museum piece and just wanted to enjoy driving.

I can't think of anything worse than a torque converter on track. Maybe a CVT.

VAT at 20% so cheap even with that added on? Is that duty on top of that too?
