So for a n20 on 99/100 ron fuel 270-295 is the normal range on a proper dyno tune basis..the issue with non dyno flash is you don't know whether your leaving power on the table or over cooking it.. A decent tuner on a dyno see's how the power changes with boost/ignition timing/ fuel pressure/...

There’s a pin trick off the fuse box or decent code readers have a boot release function…I think it’s pin 12.. Otherwise you just have to risk it…

Yes pity on the Yuasa…good batteries…my choices would be Exide, Yuasa, Varta..tier 1..Bosch tier 2… 5 year warranty on a decent AGM battery on an e89 properly coded / registered should be trivial… Going below 10-20% is the killer ..

Maybe wasn’t coded / registered….properly looked after it’s got a 10 + year life

The recall was made due to routing of main power cable to the fuse block...it was bent in such a way that bare copper was exposed and could make contact with the metal bulkhead..

The recall for the power had some nasty shorts resulting in electrical fires…

Unless you get the premium version I think the issue is that the sheaths wear easily…

As apps go ProTool is the gold standard…frankly an E89 without a suitable coding / diagnostic app is not a good place…unless you like garages and breakdown services…other apps are available..as well as dedicated machines ..

You need the super flexible silicone sheafed stuff…most wires are data only so thinnest / bendiest you can get..’litze’ wire springs to mind …I’ll check…it’s the bends and your routing that’s the killer..if not done properly either the wire gets cut through / and / or / crushes / cuts through...
