    Road Rash :(

I just finished up going over my car with a clay bar. I can't believe all of the stone chips that I have managed to accumulate over the past 3 years. There are even a few small gouges in the plastic bumper cover :( I like to think of them as "badges of honor" for a car that gets driven...

2 Zero Chalenging Phil for Post Whore Crown?

It looks like 2 Zero is mounting a serious challenge to Phil's status as resident Post Whore. Is Phil going to take this lying down? :fuelfire:

    Stone Chip in Windshield

While driving home last night on the highway, I got hit with a rock in the Windshield. It made two chips right next to each other. One has a star pattern and is about 1/2" in diameter. The other looks like and is about the size of the tip of your small fingernail. Both chips look much worse from...

    Mobility Kit Mounting Ideas?

Having joined the non-RFT club, I have invested in the Conti Comfort Kit. Does anyone have any good suggestions for mounting this in the trunk (boot) to keep it from sliding around? I was thinking of using Velcro to hold up against the bulkhead.

    Another Set of RFTs Ditched

I joined the non-RFT club today with a set of Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric. All I can say is WOW! I was always a bit suspicious of all the claims at how much better non-RFTs are, but it's all true, it really does feel like a completely different car. Believe it or not, the first thing I noticed on...

Goodyear Asymmetrics vs Michelin PS2 ZPs

I had my mind made up to replace my RFTs with Goodyear F1 Asymetrics, but I have been hearing some good things about the Michelin PS2 ZPs (which have the advantage of still being RFT - no need to worry about a mobility kit) over on another thread...

    Insane Stealer Tire Price

I had my car in for service today and the stealer recommended new tires. He quoted me $387 a tire for the fronts - high but not completely crazy for a stealer. For the rears, he quoted me $914 per tire! Completely out of this world insane! Can you say Tire Rack.com?

    Tire Repair Kit?

Well it's time for new tires and I plan to ditch the RFTs and go for a set of Eagle F1 Asymetrics. I recall someone posting a link for a tire plug kit a while back but I could not find the post. Can anyone dig up the post or recommend a good solution?

    Low Coolant Warning

I got a low coolant warning when I started up this morning. Assuming that I do need to add coolant (I did not have time to check, so I took my other car into work today), are there any special requirements as to what type? Can anyone recomend a brand compatible with the OEM coolant? I'm under...

    Battery Maintainer

My wife bought me the BMW Battery Maintainer from Roadster Solutions for Christmas (http://www.roadstersolutions.com/page65.html). For best battery life, should this be left plugged in while my car is garaged for the winter or should I only use it to bring the battery back up to full charge and...

It seems like just about every second post is homecoming related ... and if this sounds like a bit of sour grapes from someone not going you would be right
