Many thanks, I'll give it a try, from my days in blue uniform I have a "slim Jim" specially designed for opening cars that had the keys locked in them, I was going to try that too. Will post how I get on.

Many thanks, that's brilliant, I'll see if I can get the door card away enough to pop the lock. I did replace the outer handle Bowden cable about 6 months ago as the old one had stretched and got a link in it and rusted. I hope to take the whole lot apart and check for wear and anything broken...
