Managed to get this working. Unplugged & removed the original iPod module and it works a treat (with steering wheel controls), running through the CDC input 😀👌🏻👍🏻

Yes, I did the same mod with the f10 m5 knob on my previous e92 m3 and had to perform the ‘surgery’ so have 1st hand experience 😊 Assume the other part number (25117896886) kindly shared by Mhjc04 isn’t illuminated? Strange as the oem one is ?? 🤔

Hi all, Considering swapping the orginal gear knob to a weighted unit. Did this in my previous e92 m3 and it made allot of difference to feel. Wondered if anyone that’s done this advise on best place to purchase and if this was a straight swap? Pic to show the type I’m referring to.. TIA
