    N52 Micky Mouse Flange Replacement

I need to remove the flange to get at the rear bolt for the oil filter housing (oil leak) so I've ordered one as sods law means it'll snap and leave me waiting for one with the car off the road.

    N52 Micky Mouse Flange Replacement

I've read there are a few ways of removing the flange from the hose, cutting the oe clamp, cutting the hose itself or gently crushing the oe clamp, I take it when crushing the clamp that the idea is to brake up the plastic flange so it can be removed allowing the clamp to be wiggled off the...

    P0015 code.

The next day the code was gone and the engine ran fine, I had an oil low warning a couple of days later, I did the oil and filter change and still all good, not sure if the low oil had anything to do with the Vanos throwing a code. Will pop the solenoids out and give them a clean, rattle, and...

    Thermostat on the N52 engines?

With the N52 using an electric water pump, why did they fit a thermostat? Couldn't the engine temp be controlled by switching the pump on and off as required?

    Torx bit size question

The torx I was using was on the tensioner, to take pressure off the belt, not remove it. It was a T60, and luckily I had one, would have been nice if it slotted straight in, but that would be too simple, about an hour f'in about trying to get the bit to seat and 10 mins to change the belt, idler...

    Torx bit size question

That only works if I have the correct size, some posts suggest I need a 60 which I don't have, I really don't want to go buying bits I will never need, hence the question

    Torx bit size question

Changing the belts today but before starting I'd like to know the torx bit size required for the tensioners, I've bought the Halfords advanced set which go up to T55, a search online gives differing results. I'd like all the bits I need before pulling the fan off etc Z4E85 N52 2.5si
