So one morning about a month ago, I got in and started up to go to work and saw this......

After I got home I looked around the car to see which bulb was out and found this....

A lot of research on line about this bulb that's out and looked for a replacement. $40 for this...... and it's just a holder for gods sake.

However I feel I have to add this and this info was not anywhere. Of coarse after getting access to the removable hatch, (which is best to take the wheel off as I seriously find it near impossible to reach or see with it on,) is that the screws holding it in are Torx 20. No need to remove the screws as a couple turns to loosen is enough to give a left hand twist to free the holder up. T20 Friends.
Research led to me to posts about hacking the holder to replace the bulb as it does press down and turn to release. Mind you stuff like that normally makes me shy away and replace the whole bit, but seeing as it did indeed push down and turn to release after I had gotten mine out, and I had a dremal tool that had a proper bit, and being able to see where I needed to make the hole and knowing if I flubbed it up I could easily buy the whole bit. I decided to go for it.
Dremal out and 10 minutes latter the bulb was free. Joy JOY
Thought about slapping LED's in but the local store had nothing in a 12v 10w. Fine, ordered four new Halogen bulbs. Took a week to get here.

Got back into the wheel well, mounted the holder back in place and....

Wooohoooo! Success.
Best part it was cheap, only took me 20 mins to get the holder out, 10 mins to drill the holes and 20 mins to put it back.
