New Z4 on the block: new Alpina to be had...?

So...

Following on from the greatness that was the E85 Alpina Roadster S, has anyone heard any rumours about a possible Alpina version of the new Z4?

Given that the current B3's motor is an enhanced version of the stock N54 twin-turbo (from the *35i, but with 360PS: yes please Mr. Sytner), it should be even easier to slide into the E89 than it was to swap the M54 for the 3.4S Alpina 'six in the E85. Moreover, given there's "not going to be an M derivative" (yeah, right) there'll be less competition.

So, following the previous naming convention, the new car would presumably be the "Alpina Roadster Bi-Turbo". There you go Alpina, you've got the name now, that's one less thing on the development programme! Chop chop!

Mmmm it's a very interesting proposition, and Alpina models seem to be pretty well specced now, just been having a browse at the B3. If it comes they will probably get rid off the DCT and put in the ZF auto box instead.

Will be expensive new, late forties, but as a lightly used purchase maybe...

Aplina would be interesting - but they'll stick on the horrid Alpina wheels, 80's style front spoiler and horrid graphics to ruin it all!

Wish you could get Alpina mechanicals without any styling changes.
