Since this seems commonplace, is there a tech code for this or anything, so I can present this to BMW when I turn up? Or, a recommended dealer that won't try to fob me off?

I've had a look, and looks like it may become a major issue relating to the gearbox somewhere down the line... Guess I'll get it booked in!

mine rattles!! the dealer said its all normal its just the lay shaft in the gear box

But mine gets MUCH louder if you depress the clutch just ever so slightly...

This has always been with the car nothing to do with my other problem but I do have ocd when it comes to cars!!! :headbang:

I have OCD mainly with cars too. :oops:
