Ah, so dropping the loom for the LCM down to the floor gives better access then.
And just to confirm, all is working OK?

I know how it's done but Bryan did the technical bit, he's in Western Turville. Maybe best to rope him too

Yes was easy enough, despite Pastry being there ,joking mate
All the basic's were covered by Steve's original write up. Once i'd got my head around the relevance of the ECU connection to the plug where you actually connect the CC wire to, it all made sense, I see that info is just in for completeness of the write up. As Pastry mentioned stripping some insulation and soldering the connections all around seemed the easiest and neatest way of doing things, with all the looms taped back up and wiring all attached back where it should be, it looked a pucka job, even if I say so myself.
We all learn from these things and first hand experience of doing it is the best way to learn . Certainly easy enough to do, I probably took more time cutting the lower cowling ( well it wasn't my car ) other than that thanks to the info already provided it was pretty straight forward.
I can't think of why you'd want to remove it after fitment , so soldering the joints made sense to me, most cars are out of warranty now and the cost of retro fitting by parts cost doesn't warrant removing it to put on another car JMO of course .
Anyways big thanks to The Steve's for doing the hard work of figuring out the connections that were needed.
