While Fred was away at bandcamp he totally lost his sense and understanding of irony and sarcasm.

Man. I must be one of the few who likes the long whip. I suppose it's my amateur radio (ham radio in common parlance) that enjoys a longer antenna so I can get better reception.

Besides, you know longer is better...

Great idea, the improved conductivity also helps with reception!

Looks like there is a whippy shortage developing, apparently dealers are buying and stock-piling to drive up prices and they are now being stolen!

Argenta, one of our own had his robbed so take care not to buy a ringer!

Back in the day I used to remove my stereo faceplate and carry it in its case when parked up.
I now do this for my whippy.

I hear Hexagon are buying them up.

I used to do the same with my faceplate too on all my aftermarket headunits , although i couldn't see anyone wanting my first ever car radio that also had a removeable plate. Just like this one:

I'd advise anyone who's car currently resembles an oversized 80's mobile phone to purchase this to restore the original lines and design that makes the Z so appealing.

I have cherished my whippy. Never have the stereo above level 3 until it is fully warmed up and even then it's only on loud for short bursts. Only play heavy metal on special occasions. :)

No, there are plenty of whippy fanciers on here and the trend for the correct Z appendage is on the increase, isn't it Chris

This weeks price watch

Wow since this thread started asking prices for a well kept Whippy have risen 50%! it's officially a 'bubble'!

Last week £19.99 for a 'mint' example (please discuss the definition of a mint whippy  )
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-E85-ST ... 3641.l6368
And new to the market this week a chancer is riding the current price wave with a high mileage whippy with bodywork imperfections at £30!
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-E85-E8 ... Swn1RXI1x1

You don't need man maths to realise it's a great time to upgrade to a whippy, keep it well, enjoy, and you should see a profit when time comes to move it on
