I also used Royal, an excellent service. Contact them using their website. You may need to be patient as they are a small team. The quality of leather and finish was (is) excellent. I opted for an exchange, which took them 30 mins. An excuse for a drive to Buckinghamshire too.TOMGREEN413 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 9:52 am I had a look at their website hoping to get a guide price but no joy.........did you remove and refit yourself? .......would you be happy to indicate a rough cost? No problem - yeah they haven’t got a price list anywhere, you have to get in touch for a quote, guessing it could vary quite a bit depending on what you’d like.TOMGREEN413 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 9:52 am I had a look at their website hoping to get a guide price but no joy.........did you remove and refit yourself? .......would you be happy to indicate a rough cost? They quoted me £180 for the wheel retrim, and an extra £30 for fitting, which took about 30 mins or so.
I did think about doing myself, and think having seen it done I probably would have been able to do it, but in the end went for a nice winter drive to them for fitting.

Ah yes, patience is required! Took them a few days to reply to me, and there was a bit of a wait for a slot. I booked it in just over a month ago. But it’s a great service, and Jack is great. He had a Porsche 987 Boxster in for a fresh wheel just after me.jenniferlouise wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 10:08 amI also used Royal, an excellent service. Contact them using their website. Looks like we both asked them if they’d be able to refurb plastic spoke covers and buttons, but unfortunately not…
I ended up getting a new set of spoke covers from a dealer on eBay, think I paid about £170ish from Vertu Motors (but have a vague recollection it was during Black Friday, and there was some sort of discount). Still felt ridiculously expensive for a few bits of plastic!
But really happy with how it’s looking now - hopefully it’s good for another 15 years!

Thanks for all that information, seems good value for money . Definitely something I will consider once I've sorted out the detailing jobs on my ever growing list.

Washed car today, was filthy and not looking nice. Looked fab again, what a difference a wash can make Hose pipe frozen so had to go backwards and forwards with buckets Then went out for a drive with wifey onto the moors and a Costa. Snow about on hills. Car now needs another wash
Now, Sterling grey Z4 2.2 with cup holders, stubby aerial and sport seats. Roadsters ‘cause they’re great with the roof down.
Ford Anglia, Red Sprite, a few MG midgets, MGB Roadster and yellow Ford Capri, all gone many years now.

Likewise! nothing too diligent, just a hose with a brush on it and a quick run over the cheapo 2.0 daily hack. Turns out it is in fact Silver Grey!MikeyH wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 6:55 pm Washed car today, was filthy and not looking nice. On the subject of dirty cars, it’s a good job I enjoy cleaning the Z, as it needs cleaning every time I go out

My car had recently developed an annoying exhaust rattle/squeak from the bottom of the manifold area. Got the car up on axle stands and found that a nut had gone missing from the corner of the front heat shield leaving it resting on the exhaust and causing the racket. New nut fitted and all quiet again. A nice easy fix
Dropped the car down and gave it a good wash 'n' brush up as it's not had much TLC since before Christmas. I treated myself to a load of Soft99 products in the Black Friday Sales so will be making use of those tomorrow

Gave both BMW’s a good wash today, although probably spent twice as long on the Coupe… Still a little obsessed with it three months in!
Picked up plenty of dirt on my drive to/from Royal Steering Wheels on Friday, was planning to wash yesterday but the hosepipe was frozen! Defrosted inside overnight so I could give it a good clean today.

Joelvdrz4c in the shop this weekend. A 30h paint correction and two-stage ceramic coat to protect what has turned out as one of my favourite coupes. Also fitted the M-sport seats, totally transforming the look of the interior. I’ll let Joël share the finer details, but it’s been an absolute joy to work on. Another Zed brought back to its former glory (and a bit more maybe)
Not mine, but rather the silbergrau coupe of Four Alfa's and a Ducati later, I've turned to the dark side...
