The Abarth 124 spider gets an excellent review by Richard Hammond in the latest episode. I’m liking the styling more and more and what a great exhaust note – certainly prefer it to the new MX5, though with only 170 bhp on tap I think fiat are missing a trick.

I thought it sounded well for a little 1.4 four pot! Think it'll struggle with a remap though, 175bhp has got to be near the limit for a 1.4 if it's to remain driveable. Shame they didn't put a 2.0 in it, or even an alfa V6!Marlon wrote:The Abarth 124 spider gets an excellent review by Richard Hammond in the latest episode. I was parking up next to an 52 plate MX5 this morning and it turns out the driver works in the same office. Anyway we got to chatting about our roadsters and he's go the 1.8 which he preferred over the 1.6 he test drove. He asked about mine and couldn't believe it was a 3 litre, he kept repeating back incredulously - 'its a 3 litre!'Ducklakeview wrote:I thought it sounded well for a little 1.4 four pot!
