Hmmm, ordered Textar pads. Received 'Stark' pads

Post by Chris_D » Tue Sep 13, 2016 3:04 pm

SO, I ordered some bits n bobs I need in order to carry out some jobs on Betty, including fixing her tantrum ( viewtopic.php?f=3&t=90194 )
Ordered some Textar e-pads which I've read only good things about and I've received some 'Stark' pads which I've never heard of. Anyone else?
Was a bit miffed until I googled the Stark pads which turn out to be significantly more expensive.

Textar pads ordered:
http://www.auto-onderdelen24.nl/textar/7688112

Stark pads received:
http://www.autodoc.nl/stark/7306495#

The specs match up but it looks like they've just given me what was available matching the spec of the Textars.
Anyone any experience of Stark pads? Seems like a German brand but I've never once heard of them and I go to Germany quite a bit.

Nevermind, theyre going back.
A quick search of the internets reveals that this is a 'house' brand that this parts conglomerate uses and others have been duped.
rest of the order seems legit tho. just the pads are spurious.
looks like bait and switch scam. fekkers.

I had similar from an Ebay seller when I ordered a set of top brank serpentine belts and received 'no name' set.
They apologised, left the others with me and sent out the correct sort next day

FYI - should all be at their costs to ship back and non of this 'send them back and we'll send out replacements' nonsense

Yeah. Have informed them of my displeasure lol. Dodgy beggars:

Hello,

Today I have received items relating to my order (11348474)

However, the brake pads (remblokken) you have supplied are NOT the ones I have ordered.

I have ordered 'Textar' pads (Art. Nr.: 2328781) and you (or AutoDOC) have supplied 'Stark' pads (Artikelnummer: SKBM-1004).

I ask that you send the correct Textar brake pads immediately! (Technisch informatienummer: 23287 178 0 5 epad)

Please advise return of the 'Stark' pads to you. This must be at your cost, not mine.

I am very angry that you have sent the incorrect parts.

Best regards,

Someone could have made a genuine mistake. That email makes you look a bit of a tool.

How mature of you resorting to name-calling. Bullied at school much?

I agree the email is a bit 'letter to bbc points of view', however, and after researching, there are numerous accounts of this dubious practice for this particular online parts retailer. My modus therefore to make it clear from the beginning that i am not going to accept this. My experience may also benefit others here if considering ordering from 'auto-onderdelen24.nl'. This is a global website with international subsidiary websites.
I'd be a tool to not complain.

 when did I call you names? I think you need to re-read what I typed. I said the email you sent makes you look a bit of a tool.

You're the one showing anger through an email. Very classy of you
