Service required???

Post by Johnbmwz4 » Mon Sep 05, 2016 9:14 pm

Just playing with the I drive and noticed it said service required on vehicle info I clicked on it but all the options like oil and brakes said all ok. I then went to the vehicle check option and said no faults. Any ideas? The car only got serviced 4 week ago

Thanks

MOT reminder? It's a date you can set yourself.

Probably vehicle inspection i.e. The MOT. You can reset it through idrive.

Mmm the car has also been MOTd around 4 weeks ago too. I'll take a look tomorrow some time and try and change it. The rear brake pads got replaced very recently too but the next service miles for them is 1300 miles. The guy I bought the car from said the garage never reset the timer for these but it is easy to do he told me. They have been changed as I can see the depth on the pads. Anyone done this and is it easy?

Went to the dealers today and got them to check my key to see what the service required meant. Car came up with no faults or services required. Then after a more in depth conversation I realised it was me been a total idiot. The service required I was reading was in the vehicle status menu that you click on it and it tells you what needs servicing , if anything. Anyway left there looking a total Pratt but at least now I know...
