Birds own 35i with Hartye upgrades. Apparently they originally put Hartge suspension it as well but decided the Bilsteins were better.
Unique and undoubtedly exceptionally well looked after car, but the price?! Could get a 35i with similar miles fir £15/16k and have £13k left over for your own modifications and TLC...

I’m sure it will shift as the mods are from a ‘factory’ rather than an ‘owner’ with all that may imply….tiglon wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 9:54 am http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details ... obcid=soc3

But as you say you could build your own for less….

I am having thoughts on this purchase. What do we think?
A decent option or should I sit tight and perhaps get something better/ more for my money as current financial conditions and winter take hold? I'm eering on sitting tight, I think.

Looks like a nice car..most options save no DAB radio and not sure if it has extended bluetooth...repair to the left bracket of the boot cover..t90ark wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 12:12 pm I am having thoughts on this purchase. What do we think?

I'd say price wise that its an OK price given recent inflated E89 prices..
You could argue its a 'classic' version rather than the later N20 powered versions..
If I was in the market for a 30i auto then I'd go for it...if you are not fussed and you are willing to sit the winter out maybe you could do better, especially if you are not fussed about colours /options..
We choose to go to on with this endeavour at this time and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard…

It's OK.
No cruise by the looks of it, dash trim is very marmite and failed MOT in 2021 for a cracked wheel (probably repaired rather than replaced).
If you don't need to buy from a stealer, there are bound to be much better value cars around privately; if not now, very soon. Judging by the £6,300 WBAC and £7,600 Motorway (which aren't reaching reserve generally ATM from what I hear) quotes I would expect to pay £9,000 for that privately now.

All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

Anyone have any opinions on this? Or even better anyone know the car?
I can't stop looking at it and am thinking of making a bid.
Its been for sale for a while and has been coming down nicely in price but i still think its over priced a bit.

I didn't mind the dash. It has alcantara seat inserts and door cards, too. The wheel is indeed repaired - we discussed having that replaced.

I’ve noticed that gradually dropping in price too but still think it’s greatly overpriced for the mileage. There’s obviously a premium for the colour and model but not that much imo. As in the advert, it’s £11k, what do you feel it’s worth? I’m feeling it’d start with a 9 and low one at that if I was buying it.hopz121 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 12:52 pm Anyone have any opinions on this? Or even better anyone know the car?

Not surprising; it's bright yellow. YUK. Mileage high, price high. "Some service history"? It's got painted 296M wheels (made of even weaker chocolate than 326s) and in the close up of the wheel there is a bolt missing!! No mention of what the fantastic spec is, apart from an 'upgraded exhaust system' which looks standard at the rear box and is corroded, filthy and rusty.
Sounds like a peach!

I am with you on the price, i think i will keep a close eye on it and see what it eventually drops to. The colour and spec are what I like about it.Argyll Andy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 09, 2022 1:19 pmI’ve noticed that gradually dropping in price too but still think it’s greatly overpriced for the mileage. The car you have sent through isn't an msport or OEM unfortunately so not for me. Also looking for a decent spec which I think the yellow one has.

I didn't notice the wheel to be fair (could be simply an old picture waiting for a new bolt to arrive) the service history I was aware of but a quick call would either give me confidence its all in order or in fact its not (if the latter i'd walk away)
Spec wise looking at the pictures I could see quite a bit of it (pictures on there website)
Thanks for the feedback though, its helpful seeing bits I missed!
