Ashtray Opening......

Has anyone else noticed that if you open the ashtray on a hot day it wont stay closed again ?
Im a non smoker but thats where the chewing gum lives :)

I am assuming expansion in the heat ??..........

so i can take it that mine is a faulty ashtray that wont stay closed when it is hot ? :?

I've never noticed it happen on mine - my ashtray keeps the VAT receipts for petrol! It only won't close when there are too many receipts stuffed in.
