That’s because of your comment about what she’d be wearing at the wedding

Very nice, is that a new modelArgyll Andy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 3:37 pm Picked up my birthday and Xmas present from Kathleen on the way to the run in Wales on Friday. Very pleased with it, probably sits the best on my wrist of any of my watches. Made to commemorate the first man made vehicle to exceed 100 mph. I’m sure there’s some relevance in there Free watch winder with it too so all good.

Thanks, I think it is but not 100% sure. It’s available on Ball’s website. One of the many things I really like is it’s got shaped lugs so even through it’s quite big it doesn’t sit across your wrist but round it if that makes sense? I really like the crown protector tooHilly30si wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 8:16 amVery nice, is that a new modelArgyll Andy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 3:37 pm Picked up my birthday and Xmas present from Kathleen on the way to the run in Wales on Friday. Like that a lot Andy. Does it have tritium tubes? - website just says gas tubes? I always wear a Marathon with those at night - incredibly bright - for the next 25 years at leastArgyll Andy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 9:39 amThanks, I think it is but not 100% sure. Cheers Vaughan, yes it does have tritium tubes. The 12 o’clock market is a yellowish/orange colour and the rest is green. It was a bit unusual to start with but looks good. Yes, it’s got the 25 yr guarantee on the tubes.Vornwend wrote: ↑Wed Apr 20, 2022 9:13 amLike that a lot Andy. Does it have tritium tubes? - website just says gas tubes? Many thanks,
The strap is pretty decent quality to be honest, clasp is a little cheap feeling and quite stiff to adjust but really for the £££s you can't complain and is easily replaced.
Tim.

Current watch is this Omega Planet Ocean (model no. 232.30.42.21.01.001) but looking to chop it in for a Rolex Explorer over the coming months. Does anybody know of any outfits offering reasonable money on px or straight sales these days? I've used watchfinder in the past but their offers seem to getting worse as the years progress!

That looks fantastic. I had a Ball Engineer II a good few years back and thought the quality vs price was excellent. I'm sure the same still applies today. Enjoy itArgyll Andy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 3:37 pm Picked up my birthday and Xmas present from Kathleen on the way to the run in Wales on Friday.
