New Z4 brochure available for download

So.. you can get a heated steering wheel, bluetooth A2DP mp3 streaming, and cupholders are still extra. cool..

You can see where the price will really stack up with sports seats, ///M suspension, adaptive headlights, automatic aircon, sat nav, MFSW, alarm, most cd/radio options, bluetooth, 18" or 19" rims and a lot more items as extras on even the top model. Ouch!!

I can see that lot adding £5k to £7k the 'basic' price.

Was thinking the same.

A very expensive motor this could be.

I know depreciation is a bad thing and to be expected, but the depreciation I've suffered in my M will certainly mean I'll not be splashing out on a new Z4.

It has grown on me slightly, but I don't think I'd spend £40k+ again - and certainly not on a car that will have newer models released at a later date

I think what he means is if BMW had changed tack and not carried on with the Z4 in favour of say the Z2, then he would have something special, that would age far less quickly

So your never buying another new car then :poke:
:D

To be honest, probably not.

But what I mean is, I will never buy a launch model - or at model at launch if you get me.

Same here! I was stung like that once about 2 years ago as I always used to buy my cars new. Never again!

I'm surprised to see no climate control standard or 'leccy seats either, yet xenon lights standard across the range. Heated seats standard on 30i and 35i - about time too.

£45k I reckon too, for a nice one anyway.

Hmmm, you can get a mint <year old SLK55 for £4-6k less than that :scratchhead:

Bloody hel, at those prices you can certainly say it's not going to be a clitoris car, but it's sure going to price out a lot of people. :?

Yep and the German price for the 35i is actually £43k basic at today's exchange rate so if the pound keeps dropping like it has done then prices will need to go up more to compensate. Europeans might start buying importing cars from the UK because it's cheaper.

But look at the car you have
Cars are never investments and mostly degrade in value and the current prices are at least partly fuelled by the economy we`re now stuck with. Maybe in a few years the price will recover a little or at least stabilise for a few years. I bought my 3.0Si at a good price in Dec 2007 but having driven about 24k since, it`s probably still worth about £6-7k less than I paid for it. Part of me wants to upgrade to the ///M but the milage I cover and the care I`ve taken with the 3.0 means I`m probably better off just hanging onto mine. Either way (even if I upgraded) I would keep the car for many years as the Z4 coupe is a fantastic car! if I don`t upgrade I can still see me keeping the 3.0 until it`s an old shed - I`ll get my monies worth.

I went to my local dealer today, and got a new Z4 full brochure (A4 size), not the previous white gloss cover one. Much more detail.

Well I got my invite to the launch today

Obviously I'm lower down the potential purchaser order than some, as mine is an open evening with chanpagne and some Rolf Harris art with the chance to win 'Waterways in Amsterdam, a print

Had my launch invite last Saturday. May go along at some point. Don't think I will bother with a test drive though. I'd rather test the M3 to be honest! :)

Got my invite to the local dealer on May 9th along with the new brochure. After seeing it in the flesh i do like this car, but far to rich for my blood, to buy new anyway. I intend to wait a while to see what the prices will be for 6 to 12 month old model.
