Show me your strut braces!....

Post by silverdevill » Wed Apr 08, 2015 8:14 pm

Looking to see whats available for the Z4 in terms of a front strut brace and need a bit of inspiration, i've been looking at the Weichers racingline carbon one which looks lovely and have come across all sorts of weird and wonderful designs. Just wondering what other people have gone for and can you feel a difference on turn in etc?...

I have the same one as neilthomas. It's from Cosmo racing in the USA i believe. It's very light, probably weighs less than the standard strut bars.

Srhutch - were did you get the top mount covers from for either side of the strut brace? I have an OEM one too but the top of the suspension mounts are visible as i dont have covers.

Thanks

Came with the brace, it's slightly different to the Z4 one.

I'll get you some close up pics and part numbers so you can see if the mounts are the same.

Mine is pretty much the same as srhutch's - so won't post another photo

Mine also came with my car. I don't know if turn in is improved. However, coming previously from a 3.0, my current zed turns in and handles much much better. But then you'd expect that anyway, regardless of strut brace or not.
