Why's that then Adam... is it a special model of Zed?...

It will fit all E85/6 models. You may have to take a few mm off you camber pins though.

Can I assume from this that not all ///Ms have strut braces?

Mine came with one (don't have a pic and I'm not going into the garage to take one at this time of night). Is this the kind of thing one should declare to the I to the insurance company?

No E85/6 came with a strut brace as standard, it's possible that a few people ordered one with the car but, even then, I think it would have been a dealer-fit rather than factory-fit option - to be on the safe side you should declare all mods to your insurance company, most specifically ask if the car has been modified when you take out the policy

Upon searching, this thread is the closest I can find to an answer but has anybody got the OEM strut brace as fitted to the M3 on a 3.0si N52? I've just picked up an e86 but some listings for the brace say it doesn't fit the 3.0si N52... Someone mentioned about it covering the oil filler cap, which is fine as it's easy enough to remove the centre section, but does it actually clear the engine?

Thanks in advance for any help.

So do these actually make any difference to the driving experience - I'm guessing that unless you're on a track day throwing it into corners its negligible?

It should be fine, might cover the oil filler, and you may have to take a few mm off the camber pins.
