Oddly enough don't think that the ask is expensive here.

But getting it to you wouldn't be cheap!
It's a virtually new MC for about £5K less than a new one cost so I suppose it's the nearest you'll get now to a new MC.
But with so little use it will need refreshing, and putting some miles on it would result in massive depreciation.
I would rather pay less for one with more miles on it so I didn't feel guilty using it, because if you don't drive it you really are missing the point of having it!

Why worry about the depreciation though. If You bought an New M40I it would depreciate just as fast and be less fun to drive.Mr Tidy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 11:57 pm But getting it to you wouldn't be cheap!

Maybe because I paid less than a third of that for my MC that is just as fast and probably isn't depreciating!

Agree even Glass's have that valued at a trade price close to £34k.
The challenge though is the one already highlighted - all the miles you'd want to put on it would negate the point in buying such a low mileage example.

Buzyg has got the right idea as far as I'm concerned. I own an M Coupe because I love the car, not because I couldn't afford to go out and buy a new M40i or equivalent. So if that car fitted the colour/spec I wanted, why not? It would certainly be on my potential to-buy list.
I do about 3 - 5k per year so it would take years to put significant miles on, but even if someone bought it as a daily driver, surely the depreciation wouldn't be anywhere near as much as a brand new Z4 doing the same mileage. It's probably £8k - £10k more than a really good one with 50k on the clock. But that extra money would buy you the peace of mind of knowing exactly how it had been driven and being able to look after all the weak spots that have been discovered over the years, and in 10 years, even with 50k miles on the clock, it would still be worth more than the new M40i with equivalent miles that you could have bought today.
I guess the only disadvantage of this car, over a new one, is that it has been sitting undriven for quite a while and if I bought it, then an inspection 2 would be the first thing on the list, and I may be negotiating that into the price.
We are all a bit guilty on this forum of looking at our cars as future classics, but I think this car could justifiably be bought and enjoyed as a new car, not as an investment.
Now, where is my chequebook?

What do we think to this then - previously on the forum under 2 different owners between July 2016 - June 2022?

Not only have the main preventative maintenance jobs been done but they were only completed in the last few months before the most recent owner jumped ship in to a new Toyota Supra.

It looks a well sorted car but is it worth £3,200 more than than one advertised on Autotrader and on this Forum which as had some really good preventative maintenance done in recent months?Gwest44 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 13, 2022 6:09 pm What do we think to this then - previously on the forum under 2 different owners between July 2016 - June 2022?

Mileage is 20k lower, it's Carbon Black which means it has the gloss mirror triangles, genuine M359 wheels, extended leather, top stereo - so that would be a yes from mebiZ4rreMids wrote: ↑Tue Sep 13, 2022 6:28 pmIt looks a well sorted car but is it worth £3,200 more than than one advertised on Autotrader and on this Forum which as had some really good preventative maintenance done in recent months?Gwest44 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 13, 2022 6:09 pm What do we think to this then - previously on the forum under 2 different owners between July 2016 - June 2022?
