Alpina engine for sale

I have been pursuaded to do an engine transplant in my Alpina. The main reason is I want lots more power! The two proposals at the moment are to fit either a standard M5 V8 or a supercharged E46 M3 engine. I think the M3 engine is the more obvious route. The reason for not continuing with the Alpina engine is difficulty finding performance parts on the market. ESS have said they can supercharge it for me however it would cost £9500 and I would have to take it to Norway.

Either way this means I have a complete Alpina engine for sale with all the bits and pieces such as engine harness, headers ( and maybe the complete exhaust ) ECU, aircon, clutch etc etc. It has done 37k with no problems and has had very regular oil changes with top quality oil and I have just replaced the spark plugs. It has over 300 hp as standard and revs to 7250.

The best thing about the Alpina engine is its high torque. It produces 90% of its torque from 2000rpm and will happily accelerate in 6th gear from below 30mph! Top speed is around 170mph and 0-60 is bang on 5 seconds.

I have no idea what kind of price to ask but please feel free to make me a sensible offer. I will try to sell it elsewhere too.

I also have a complete Alpina rear axle for sale with 3.23 ratio differential if anyones interested. This has only done 16k. ( Changed to M3 axle )

If anyones got a low mileage M3 or Z4M engine for sale let me know!

It's cheaper this way plus I've already done loads of mods to the Alpina, this would just finish it off nicely. I love the whole Alpina thing too, its just a shame I'm limited by available engine mods. I'd rather keep the Alpina lump if possible but what can I do? Problem is that it's becoming less of an Alpina every time I modify something!

Fitting it is no problem at all but the software might be. Trying to keep things compatible with each other is the tricky bit. There's always a way to do it, you just gotta figure out what it is!

Oh God.............here we go again  this will be the only Alpina in history that can outrun a vyron and has a total cost of 6.5 million! Just make sure you remember to look behind you before starting it up,we would not want bystanders catching on fire with the flames shooting out the exhaust when you fire it up   :driving:
