My 2007 had same problem the box the snap in cradle fits into was narrower than the iPhone 3G let alone a snap in
Solution you buy a new wider eject box that the later, well certainly the iPhone snap in cradle, fits.New box fits into base happily

Morning all,

Has anyone had any luck with an iPhone 3GS running the newest software in a 2004 Z4?...

I can get the phone and car to pair, it accepts the code etc and comes up succeded but then constantly connects and disconnects... the car continues to show no phone paired...

HELP!? will BMW still offer software updates on my year car?

D

I have a similar problem with mine, Have tried pairing my 3gs iphone and it seems to work but the nav screen just displays "PLEASE WAIT" for ages and it does not seem to say pairing succeeded!

Mine works ok, but mines a 2007, so maybe the software has been updated?

thanks all. Seems to work okay apart from I can't use the button on the steering wheel to bring calls up and also not all of my contacts are showing up.
That said the sound quality is really terrible, so I am not sure how often I want to use it.

I sound like I am taking in a can! Any other complaints for quality?

Hello,

Finally.... after many attempts I have paried my phone again.

I think last time I had my Z4 serviced they may have upgraded something...

The pairing process that worked for me - Z4 Sat Nav with fold down compartment, "Shouting button" and pop up display

1. Ignition key out
2. Open compartment and press and hold "Shouting button" for 3 seconds
3. Keep holding the button and turn ignition key two clicks
4. Just as the pop up display starts to pop up - release the button
5. I heard two beeps - but the display did not changed to say bluetooth pairing
6. I had to go to my phone and try and discover the device
7. Then I inputted the pin and it worked.

Hope this helps others!

Adrian

TMobile's MyTouch 3g Slide works on my 07 just fine displays all the phone contacts.

Has anyone managed to get their iPhone contacts to transfer across to the car? Seems to be paired ok but no contacts have appeared...

Also is anyone (Siftah?) using the tomtom mount for the 3GS - just wondered how it attaches to the dash...

Cheers

None specifically, that s/n is ”oddments tray” which was was just to fill the eject box and supposed to be replaced by a phone-specific snap-in adapter. Realoem does not list them anymore, but there was one for the iconic Nokia 6310i and one for Ericson, both big names in the 2G era.
