abs/dsc codes, i need to know which codes these go to...

Post by dalex » Sun Sep 08, 2013 2:42 pm

Hi everyone, long time viewer, first post. I have an 03 2.5, auto with 110k on the clock. Recently, the abs, brake and DSC lights came on. Also, the low pressure tire light came on. Had the brakes checked, they were shot. Replaced the front brakes, pads, sensors and the lights still stay on. Checked the codes, sensors (good ohm readings), but observed that one connector looked melted. I believe this is the problem.
Has anyone had this happen? My codes are 5d92 and 5d93. I have checked the post with related codes didn't see these two.
Thanks, in advance.
Dave

5D92 - Wheel speed sensor pulse wheel (front left)
plausibility – tooth fault every wheel revolution

5D93 - Wheel speed sensor (front left) plausibility at speed < 20km/h

Check the sensor on the front left wheel

Hi mate,

Did your issue go away after changing the sensor?

Hi mate,

Did your issue go away after changing the sensor?
You may not get a reply after 9 years.
If you have that code then I'd simply fit a new sensor. Only issue could be the bolt holding the old one in. Soak it in penetrating fluid for a day or two first.

Always happy to help if I can.

If the forum helped you, why not help the forum back. Thats the Z4 way!

I don't know why it doesn't show the date on my mobile. I only realised it shows the date when I checked in on the work laptop
