Staggered wheels

Post by Knight » Wed Jul 17, 2013 5:58 pm

Hi all this is my first post and I'd like to say thanks to the forum for the amount of information I have already learnt.

I have a 3.0 se coupe and I'm wondering what wheels to get for it and they have to be genuine bmw ones (like to keep a semi standard look). I was wondering if they had to be staggered or if all 4 can be the same (size and width) I ask this because I know that on some cars ie the Toyota MR2 if the wheels aren't staggered then it messes the handling up.

Any info would be perfect

People do both and it's not uncommon to find zed's with a square setup but generally speaking staggered with wider rears is the way forward and the preferred setup.

What diameter are you thinking of?
