Depends what it is?

For normal grime, window cleaner spray, from the supermarket is great! Got some in the cupboard?

I use Autoglym Car Glass Polish, it does a great job both inside and out. Bottle costs around £6.50 from Halford's and the bottle last for ages :)

 Mr Muscle Window and Glass cleaner approx. £1.89 for 500ml from Waitrose, Asda, Tesco etc. Versus AG which is more expensive. Go figure! And, you can use the Mr Muscle stuff on patio doors, kitchen window. Cheaper and pretty streak-free - sworn by it for over 12 years of driving, seriously.

Edit: Whoops! Price corrected!

I find that the cloth you use is just as important as the product. I have had most success with the Meguiars glass cleaning cloth

try vinegar! that’s what I used to use and it cleaned the windows very well. That was until I saw my local window cleaner using a long pole with a brush on the end that had water going through it, after a quick chat with him I found out that all the window cleaners these days use carbon fibre water Fed poles from https://wfp.co.uk/ I’ve just used mine for the third time and say without a doubt it was worth it. Far less hassle and I don’t have climb up a ladder to clean the top windows. I also use it on my car and it’s a doddle

All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.
