The search string is too short at 3 letters. The google search on the site is down at the minute but if you go to google and type this in the search box, it will search here.

I loved the ZHP when I had my 3.0.

I got one from leather z too. Love it.
Leather is better then chrome as it doesn't heat up and burn your hand or get scratches like chrome

That's not lighted though. Illuminated shift knob is nicer IMO. That's what I put in the e36 M3.

Re: ZHP Shift Knob (Poll)
Much better shift knob. When I bought the Z3 last week, it had the classic BMW shift knob from the E36 generation, black and wood veneer, long and awkward as hell. A bit of rummaging in the parts box turned up my old 5-speed ZHP knob (I kept it when I sold on my Z4 2.5i years ago) and it's so much better. Of course, now I need a matching handbrake cover to replace the wooden one...oo7ml wrote:Trying to decide on whether to get a ZHP shift knob... i was close to buying one on ebay an hour ago and then clicked out of it... now i think i might want one again what are your thoughts on these... hey or ney

Re: ZHP Shift Knob (Poll)
My gear stick knob has just arrived at my office...
Before i go injuring myself or my car... do i just need to simply put the car in 4th gear and pull as hard as i can (without going through the roof) or is there an easier or better way to get it off

Re: ZHP Shift Knob (Poll)
That's the way to do it. Don't put it in second... many stories out there of people who knocked their rear view mirror and broke their windshield. Don't smack yourself in the face either. I usually wrap a towel over my hand just in case I smack the roof.oo7ml wrote:do i just need to simply put the car in 4th gear and pull as hard as i can (without going through the roof) or is there an easier or better way to get it off
Do NOT twist in any way. The plastic clips inside will flex and would make the shifter loose and easily come off after.
