Re: Whats your other car ?
Nice Griff! I chopped in my TVR to buy the Z4MC. Here is a pic of the beast:
Sometimes wish I'd bought a Griff (prices appreciating) rather than a Cerb (prices depreciating). I may return one day to scratch that Rover (Buick) V8 itch.
Now we're a 2 BMW family, the other chariot (which is officially the wife's, although she's adamant that the Z4 is hers) is an E46 320 Cd:

My Audi A4 2.5 TDI...
Was supposed to be the cheap, diesel runabout for work etc. But it just lunched it's engine back in November, and cost me a small fortune to fix (and used up all my coilover money for the Z4! lol), so much so, with the money I should have saved using diesel, I could have been driving around in an RS4... ! lol

2005 Infiniti G35 coupe 6sp manual. Black on black.
Amazingly, I've never taken a picture of that car, while I have over 2300 pictures of my Z4M on my hard-drive. My GF mocks me for treating it like a step-child. To be honest though, I don't think I ever really liked that car that much. For one, I regretted getting the color black pretty much the next day after I got the car. The color I've really wanted is the gray color. I got black because it was clean and all shiny when it was parked at the dealer's lot. It was parked next to a gray G35 coupe and just looked better "on that particular day". It's my first, and my last black car. I've never felt any connection with the G35 coupe as I have with the Z's/M's. To me, the G35 coupe lacks soul; it doesn't stir my emotions in any way like my Z's/M's do.
The lease is close to coming to an end and I've been looking for a replacement - likely a 4-door family sedan with automatic transmission. I don't need a very powerful car as long as I still have my Z4M. Last week I test-drove the Audi A4 Quadttro and was very disappointed in that car. Steering felt very loose and disconnected. I would NOT buy that car because of the steering feel alone. The interior was okay, but nothing more spectacular than the BMW/Infiniti interios I've been used to. Actually, after trying out the A4 and getting back into my G35 coupe, for the past week I've come to appreciate the G35 coupe more. The steering is tighter and more direct; the exhaust note is sexy and still the best exhaust note of any car south of $100K IMO. Gonna test-drive the 328xi, 335xi next.

Re: Whats your other car ?
I would guess that your next car will be the 335xi. I have not heard any bad reviews against them, and the power available is on par with the //M

I'm thinking the 3er will suit you the best. The handling is a lot more responsive compared to the competitors. If you really hated the A4 because of it's "loose" feel, you'll probably want to steer clear of the Merc C-Class then. That car's very luxury>>>sport.GP20 wrote:Last week I test-drove the Audi A4 Quadttro and was very disappointed in that car. Steering felt very loose and disconnected. That being said, though...
This suits me quite well as a 2nd vehicle. The ride's very luxurious and is quite practical (with a huge 60/40 split opening). The panoramic sunroof's to die for and the audio system puts even my M's to shame.

Dude that's a very awesome looking ride. Bring it to our next meet.Rick Hunter wrote: I'm thinking the 3er will suit you the best. The handling is a lot more responsive compared to the competitors. Styling wise, the C-class definitely beats the A4 hands down. The A4 looks nice, just a little blend and boring. I haven't driven the C yet so I'll have to find out later. You might be right that I should go with the bimmer though. I never thought I'd grow old so fast , and want to get a 4-door family sedan so quickly, not to mention with the automatic transmission, until my Z4M was at the dealer and they gave me an E90 328i loaner. I thought that car was suprisingly nice and comfortable. The steering definitely didn't bother me one bit.
But then again, it could be that I've been spoiled by the Z4M and the G35 that my perspectives were biased right off the bat when I went to test-drive the A4. I'll definitely need to test-drive the Accord, Camry, TL, or maybe even a Caddy.
