Re: Installing LED Side Light Bulbs
I just popped the cover open on mine and pulled out what I thought was the bulb but was actually the cable - I have xenons on my ///M so am wondering if they set-up for the side lights are also different? Anyone with any experience doing this mod to an ///M?
Gone:

Re: Installing LED Side Light Bulbs
Thanks to the OP great guide and did mine Wednesday!!
Having had slight misting I used hair dryer to dry it out but struggled with drivers side to re-seat cover back in using left hand (i'm right handed) as I left it late in day and was dusk.... well make that dark lol, so slight misting turned to lots of misting, Finished work early today so took apart, reseated rubber seal other way round, a bit of PTFE on seal, put it back together ( much easier when its not dark) and fingers crossed for the morning

Re: Installing LED Side Light Bulbs
Thanks for the guide, very helpful! I had difficulty getting the wire clip off initially because I couldn't see there was a 2nd locating point lower down. If anyone's struggling to get the wire off, just get a flat screwdriver under the wire next to the lower point and lever it up a bit. Made it so much easier and saved me from just bending the wire, which I was very close to doing!
And if you feel around and find a plectrum shape piece of plastic fin in there, that's the main beam bulb, so go an inch lower!

Just done the same job but bought:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0090S7W2C/r ... _M3T1_dp_1
About £4 cheaper than the e-bay alternatives and shipped from the UK so came nice and quick. They look identical to the ones in the OP and only time will tell how well they last but they do look a whole lot better!

That EddyC post is 2 years 4 months old - also he hasn't been active since Aug 2015, so I wouldn't hold your breathRorybeanbutler wrote:How did these work out?EddyC wrote:Just done the same job but bought:

Installing LED Side Light Bulbs
Thanks for the guide. I'm replacing my blown high beam but this seems to be the same way.
