Something must be wrong with me . . .
So . . . my employer gave me a "take home" car that I can drive back and forth to work each day. Mileage, gas, insurance and maintenance are all taken care of. Today is my first day to start using it.
60% of me says that's great and 40% says not so much so. Isn't it funny? Now my Z4 will have less miles, etc. but, I'll be driving a four-door Chevy back and forth to work. No more top down rides home in my Z4 . . . detuning from work and enjoying life. Man, I think something must be wrong with me. I've been spoiled . . . Z4 Pilot

Sorry but I disagree. Driving a Zed home from work (amongst a sea of boring metal familiy boxes) is the point for me...Taz x wrote:save the zed for weekend and you will enjoy it even more
I like the fact that mine Zed was the one one in the car park, the fact that I could cruise along the motorway as the sun goes down.
Commuting in sports car puts you up with royalty (in my book anyway). Simply because it's really just not necessary...
Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

Re: Something must be wrong with me . . .
Actually this happened to me but the other way around. Before I got the Z4 I had my E46 and a company car (VW Caddy) that I could use almost as much as I wanted (free of charge). But after I got the Z4 I had 3 cars. So I went to my boss and asked if I could return the company car and get a raise in stead.
No problem. Now I have 2 cars and more salary And even get to drive my Z to work on nice sunny days

If toast always lands jam side down, and a cat always lands on its feet, what happens when you strap a piece of toast, jam side up, to the back of a cat?

I agree you will enjoy it even more if you don't drive it every day.
I specifically bought a second car to keep mileage down on my Z and now when I drive it it feels even better as I don't drive it every day. When I drove my last Z every day I got spoilt and took it for granted. Now when I drive my z i get excited at the prospect of starting her up.
You can still take the Z to work but just don't do it every day
