Something must be wrong with me . . .

Post by Z4 Pilot » Sat Feb 05, 2011 12:50 am

So . . . my employer gave me a "take home" car that I can drive back and forth to work each day. Mileage, gas, insurance and maintenance are all taken care of. Today is my first day to start using it.

60% of me says that's great and 40% says not so much so. Isn't it funny? Now my Z4 will have less miles, etc. but, I'll be driving a four-door Chevy back and forth to work. No more top down rides home in my Z4 . . . detuning from work and enjoying life. Man, I think something must be wrong with me. I've been spoiled . . . Z4 Pilot

tell your boss to give you a pay rise, so your missus doesn't hurt you when you return the chevy

Sorry but I disagree. Driving a Zed home from work (amongst a sea of boring metal familiy boxes) is the point for me...

I like the fact that mine Zed was the one one in the car park, the fact that I could cruise along the motorway as the sun goes down.

Commuting in sports car puts you up with royalty :D (in my book anyway). Simply because it's really just not necessary...

:P

Actually this happened to me but the other way around. Before I got the Z4 I had my E46 and a company car (VW Caddy) that I could use almost as much as I wanted (free of charge). But after I got the Z4 I had 3 cars. So I went to my boss and asked if I could return the company car and get a raise in stead.
No problem. Now I have 2 cars and more salary  And even get to drive my Z to work on nice sunny days :driving:

I agree you will enjoy it even more if you don't drive it every day.

I specifically bought a second car to keep mileage down on my Z and now when I drive it it feels even better as I don't drive it every day. When I drove my last Z every day I got spoilt and took it for granted. Now when I drive my z i get excited at the prospect of starting her up.

You can still take the Z to work but just don't do it every day
