Ok, so, next question is where is the sensor??? All I've got at the washer bottle are the two motors

Part 8 is listed as being a switch, could that be it?

I've just replaced mine, it's easily accessible through the fog light hole, but to no avail. My local garage suspects a wiring issue.

This used to happen on my tt on that the sensor would get oxidised a simple scrap of the probe fixed it , it may be the same i dont know as i havent checked but maybe worth a go ? sorry if its no help

Thanks. I've replaced the whole reed sensor with a brand-new one, just in case, so I can rule this out. The wiring will be the next step.

Hi What fixed this in the end please I’ve changed the light washer pump but not yet was going to change the switch but reading your comment didn’t help was it the wiring in the end ?corsaire77 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2012 5:09 am Thanks.
