Re: Whisky isle tour, Sept 2011
Good to meet you all, I enjoyed the banter, the distilleries, the dry days and the bbq was particularly fun. Maybe see you on a day trip sometime when I'm in my own car, I am a car enthusiast in case that was in doubt but for the weekend I was mostly a whisky enthusiast!
I got lots of pics because I wasn't driving...

In 2010 every date fell during my off rota .. 2011 has been a mad year .... the good news is that a recent job move keeps me in the UK and a Zed Owner for a few years yet !
PS Malc what Camera/Lens do you use for your Photos they look very crisp.

I have a Nikon D90 with a Nikkor 18-70mm DX lens.ZermattV wrote: PS Malc what Camera/Lens do you use for your Photos they look very crisp.
The Nikon gives you a choice of contrast options standard, neutral, vivid & monochrome - I usually have it on vivid.
I also use a polariser in bright sunlight or a warm up filter in overcast conditions.
Camera shake is the usual cause of un-sharp pictures and image stabilisation helps - but I don't have that luxury.

Can't see everyone's pics as I'm logging in from work, but what I can see looks great. I've got 400+ photos to sort through and just don't have the time!
Great weekend all round, apart from me loosing the rag with my tent erection in the pissing rain on Friday on arrival. Glad the weather improved dramatically on the Saturday/Sunday though - I think I even got a bit too much sun on the drive home yesterday. Good effort made by those who came from a distance: hopefully the weekend was well worth the journey north.
Not sure who's fecking bright idea it was to start that bloody pumping lorry machine at 6.30am BOTH FECKING MORNINGS. Despite an early night last night I still feel sleep-deprived...
And nice organisation work by Steve

Enjoyed seeing the photos posted so far - but you can never have enough... all taken from the trusty iPhone!
Inverary - might need to photoshop out the Jag!
Kennacraig
Camping Dawn
Ardbeg Photoshoot
Ladies of Ardbeg
BBQ time
Mr & Mrs Nosa, a11y, Rory, Pawnsacrifice, oakandacorns, Richardg, Jimmy pop, Mrs R and Ms JP, Malc and Jax.
Really enjoyed my time north of the border, and I look forward to someone booking a massive house for a week-end next year so we don't have to worry about the rain and midges !

Friday,
not too many shots of Zeds in this lot but more to follow later

Seems like an age ago now
Somewhere near Inveray on route for the ferry.
RichardG and SWMBO on the ferry

a11y explains to Oak&acorns and Malc how the geomatry set up on a 3.0 E85 can effect the overall air turbulance and how this in turn increases downforce allowing for better grip on cornering, having the camber set to 2.76mm to the positive is the ideal setting on the 3.0l BMW Z4 E85 Yada yada yada
Land ahoy We approach Jura and Islay (or I-LA for Glewpots benifit, he couldnt pronounce it right... Is -lay )
Eating in a building made of glass, Achance to get out of the rain and enjoy a meal and a drink with everyone in attendance
