There's always going to be some sort of Photoshopping happening. Resizing / cropping a pic can be considered Photoshopping. Most photos never come out with the proper lighting anyways (esp if you use point-n-shoots). PS allows you to display the pic the way your eyes saw it. If you view a picture as art, you should be able to present it according to they way you want to.
